Yes..
I offer a standard therapeutic Thai massage session. It is full body and it goes deep, but not so deep that any part of the body is neglected. I work you from head to feet. Finger tips, temples, ankles and toes. It is relaxing and helps to point out where tension might be in the body that evades conscious awareness. This is an assessment and helps me to understand who I am working with, it's often a great first session. I also support people who have active, chronic or acute pain in this session. (1.5 hours, $175. Package deals also available)
Styles that I can weave into the session upon request with no additional cost:
Abdominal Massage: This massage focuses on the abdominal cavity, touching and delicately yet firmly massaging the viscera. This is often best as a second session, after you are familiar with my working style.
Scarf Massage: The scarf is used in various places around the world as a bodywork tool to aid in treating many disorders. I find that the scarf is a great tool for massing the neck as it provides security and flexibility in the motion. This security allows the cervical region of the body to relax and allow deeper stretching, and the scarf also is ideal for strong traction.
Cupping: This technique helps relieve stagnation by pulling (fascia, blood, muscle) away from the body, using suction cups. This is especially effective along the spine and in spaces where increased blood flow is needed.
Specialty Sessions:
Acupressure Point Holding / Unwinding: For this I hold specific points of the body for long periods of time. This is a yin practice which can unwind trauma held in the body through energetic awareness and release. Particularly helpful for anxiety, depression, or chronic stress response, and can have incredibly transformative results. This is a 3 hour session, with 1 hour of massage and 2 hours of holding points. ($350)
Ecstatic Somatic Massage: This is one of my specialties. I engage with other senses (sight, sound, touch, smell) to create a more holistic ecstatic experience. I have an array of sound healing instruments such as gongs, flutes, bowls, and drums that I can use. I also have other sensory tools that I use on the body to create unique sensations. The intake for this massage involves a conversation about the different options so that each session can be customized to that particular client's comfort. The intention is to bring the client into an embodied state of trance and ecstatic experience. This is a 2 hour session. ($250)
Tea, Divination & Massage Experience: This is a session that starts with Gong Fu tea (ceremonial tea service) sourced from Rivers and Lakes Tea. I will facilitate an iChing Divination, which is an ancient technology that is for tuning into guidance and supports life transitions. I have been working with tea and the iChing for 15 years and find it to support the massage by creating a larger context for touch and awareness. The divination will guide the participant but also me as the therapist in my massage work. This would extend the 1.5 hour massage session to a 3 hour experience. ($350)
My work usually takes place on the floor, fully clothed, as my style is influenced greatly by traditional Thai massage. I do work on the table for some specific purposes, but it needs to be requested.
I have developed and use a number system (1-10) 1 being barely any pressure up to 10 which is a hard stop on the pressure. Ideally the pressure and sensation lives at about a 6 or 7. This scale is used to help get specific pressure for someone, and helpful when more communication is needed.

Please come with comfortable clothes. Try not to eat 30 minutes before the session, 1 hour if receiving abdominal work. Like any body work, it is important to hydrate well before and after!
I live in Asheville, North Carolina and have found that its best to be versatile where I work. I work in my downtown office studio at 43 Grove St. This office is central to the Asheville area, it has nice off street parking for ease and convince.
My favorite place to work is my treehouse, during the warmer months. I prefer to massage alongside and in relationship to the elements of nature. Enjoying a cup of tea surrounded by trees, breeze, and birdsong is a joy. To me, this is the ultimate bodywork environment!
I also travel to practice bodywork in the homes and businesses of the people I work for. Hopefully we have at least 10 feet by 6 to 8 feet available for set up. I bring a mobile studio along with everything I need to be prepared to deliver awesome bodywork. I charge $20 for distances longer than 5 miles from town.
